Mainland Europe has the best access to Malta. Air Malta has flights between the main island and a host of other European cities. It also has flights between Malta and Cairo, Dubai, Damascus and Tunis. Other daily scheduled carriers with service to Malta include Alitalia, KLM, Lufthansa, Swissair, Tunisavia, British Airways and a host of other charter flights.


There is a ferry service between Malta and Sicily and Genoa, Italy. The journey between Malta and Catania (on Sicily) takes about three hours.

Malta International Airport is located about 5km (3miles) southwest of Valletta. St. Julians is only 20 minutes from the airport. For a small fee, let us keep track of your incoming flight, pick you up at the airport and see you safely to your front door.

Transport is cheap and most places are within walking distance.
